Attractive vintage natural history book, full description below.

Pretty vintage edition of The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady. This is a 1977 facsimile printing of the original 1906 book by Edith Holden. She recorded the English flora and fauna throughout the seasons with charming watercolour drawings. This enjoyed a huge resurgence in the 1970s and 1980s and remains popular today. As a faithful copy of the original the page block has a sepia tone.

The book is in very good condition for its age. The pictorial dustjacket is bright and clean. The spine is sunned. Some rubbing to the joints and a chip to the top of the spine. Please check the photos. The burgundy boards are also very good. Internally the page block is bright and clean with the odd foxing spot a light age tone to the edges. There are no reader marks to the main page block but there is an ink inscription to the title page, please see the photo. the top edge is foxed.

The binding is secure with no loose or missing pages. No lean.

All in all this is a lovely vintage nature book which would make a nice addition to any natural history collection or an attractive decorative book in a vintage home.
