Model Scenery World Re-Railer for 3 Rail O27 Gauge Tubular Track.

This is a Re-Railer for Lionel O27 Gauge or similar 3 rail tubular track. It will handle a set of wheels off track, not a whole truck off track. It is built narrow so that it can fit between 2 sets of parallel tracks.

** NO TRACK or RAILCARS are included; they are for display purpose only!

**This is NOT for Standard O Gauge Tubular Track, it will only work with 027 style track. NOT SURE what style of Tubular 3 Rail Track you have? Please scroll to the bottom for more information on the difference between the two.

Additional Parts Needed: 2 small wood screws to secure Re-Railer

Assembly instructions: Put one piece on one side of a piece of straight track, and the other opposite it. They work best if you screw them down (if you have wood or similar beneath the track). If you have a foam board or similar beneath the track, then the re-railers may be glued into place.

O Gauge Tubular 3 Rail Track vs O27 Tubular 3 Rail Track. Which one do I have?

Both types of tracks have a distance of 1.25 inches between the outer rails, and both have a center third rail, but there are some differences in the track itself.

O gauge track stands 11/16″ high from the bottom of the tie to the top of the rail. O27 track stands 7/16″ high, also measured from the bottom of the tie to the top of the rail. O gauge track is made of a heavier gauge metal, which makes it very durable and more highly conductive. This makes it popular, even though it is grossly oversized.

One easy way to tell the difference is the basic sectional straight track length.

* O27 straight track sections are 8.875 inches long.
* O Gauge straight sections are 10 inches long.
