This set of Melissa & Doug Wooden Pattern Blocks & Boards comes with 120 geometric shapes for children to match to the ones on the picture boards. There are 5 double-sided pattern boards, so 10 pictures in all. The classic set is ideal for teaching color and shape recognition, matching, geometric relationships, and abstract and creative thinking. A great fine motor activity set. The age recommendation on the box is 3+, but I think it is more appropriate for older, rather than younger, 3s. 

There are suggestions on the bottom of the box for additional ways to use the tiles, e.g., pattern-making, sorting (by shape, by color) and free exploration allowing children to create their own geometric designs or representations, both 2-D and 3-D. 

The set is in A-1 condition, though it is missing the plastic lid to the wooden tray. It was very gently used by 2 Pre-K students I tutored. The storage tray has 2 compartments, one for the blocks, and one for the pattern boards. 

The tray measures approx. 12 3/4"  x  8 3/4"  x 1 1/2". The weight of the set is 2 lbs., 3 oz.
