High friction formula improves brake effect 30-40%.
Bluestuff Intermediate grade Trackday pads or Bluestuff NDX is a high friction sport and race material that can be used for aggressive street driving and certain types of track use. The material has had much success on the track with quality aftermarket calipers (Multi piston systems with better release and cooling and larger rotors) and limited success with street based calipers where pad size and caliper drag can challenge any brake material.
The biggest advantage of EBC Bluestuff intermediate grade trackday pads or Bluestuff NDX is their bite from cold and progressive brake feel and the ability to bring a car to a complete stop. This has led to the ECE R90 brake safety regulation approval of R90 which is now completed and certificates are being obtained (during July 2011). There are certain older street based caliper systems where even the new Bluestuff Intermediate grade Trackday pads will have trouble handling the caliper and slider drag inherent in the systems but this scenario is exactly the same for our competitors. There is NO material that will be PERFECT on the track in all older street based caliper systems
In its third year of use the Orangestuff compound has proved to be a great solution for medium/longer duration race use than its famous stable-mate the Yellowstuff Brake Pads grade and a great drive to drive away pad for Trackday driving.

We also do all we can to embrace US employment and in our US facilities we employ 14 people in our rotor machining facility alone.
Choose from EBC plain non drilled rotors or sport rotors in two choices – wide aperture GD Sport Rotors series for cooler running or new super silent Ultimax USR slotted rotor series. All EBC rotors including USR Slotted Rotors are British made and are precision machined in the UK. Rotors are made from high quality grey iron to exacting standards and undergo extensive testing and rigorous quality control. Slotted rotors can significantly improve brake performance and longevity when used with a matching high friction brake pad set. Having sold hundreds of thousands of brake kits EBC Brakes feel confident their approach is as perfect as it gets.
We are of the opinion that slotted rotors have been “Over sold” by certain marketplace participants and our findings are that a slotted rotor will only give benefits if used with a pad that compensates for its reduced surface area.

EBC brakes now produces all of its GD series and USR discs with a new ,long lasting corrosion resistant finish. The coating is either the world famous GEOMET or for less popular smaller batch items we use the new NITROTHERM process of anti corrosive paint applied using this revolutionary process that coats with warm Nitrogen producing a better finish. During 2014 the former GOLD series GD discs will be phased out.
EBC recommend the use of a premium pad such as Redstuff Brake Pads or Yellowstuff Brake Pads to complement your new USR slotted rotors which will provide the optimum balance of life and performance.
EBC manufacture 90% of its rotor range in ISO and TÜV approved facilities in the UK or in Italy, all rotors including GD Sport Rotors are machined and finished in the UK and in the USA. Where castings or finished rotors have been bought in to complement the range, the strictest quality controls you can imagine ensure the safety and quality of the parts we sell. EBC adds value to its products by strictest quality controls and specifications and a 100% run out and dimensional check, plus all USA sport rotors are slotted at the Las Vegas facility of the USA operation. We employ 14 people in our USA rotor machining facility alone and have a bank of 8 HAAS and Feeler CNC machines using the latest CNC controls and tooling for superb accuracy.
