Carved Wooded Female Bust Sculpture,  Vintage Yoruba / African. 

An attractive carved female bust, 

the style appears to be from the Yoruba, 

 Hand carved piece. The detail is simple but well crafted, 

the wood shows a high contrast dark grain,

which we believe is ironwood.

We can see no markings of maker, origin or date, 

but based on the surface patina appears to be of vintage production. 

Stands approximately 11.5" (29.3 cm's) in height. 

Piece is in very good condition, 

a natural flaw runs through the centre of the wood, 

and the hand sawn base has a slightly rough edge, 

all as shown in the pictures.
