For VW FUEL CAP SEAL REPLACEMENT RUBBER GASKET
Has the check engine light shown up shortly after a fill up at the gas station? Check the gas cap seal to make sure your system is properly sealed off and not allowing a leak to outside air to confuse engine readings. This seal sits on the gas cap itself and creates a seal between the filler neck and gas cap when it is twisted down and locked into position.
This is a common failure point that can case check engine lights for evap leaks and other faults.
Common fault codes are P0440 / 16824, P0456 / 16840, P0442 / 16826, P0455 / 16839.
Don't settle for aftermarket caps that cause more problems than they solve!
Advantages of replacing just the gas cap seal:
1. Reseal your original factory cap
2. More affordable
3. Avoid gas cap warning lights from using aftermarket caps
