Head and tail rubbed and small chipped loss to top front board joint. The front and back has bright marbled paper. Some rubbing to the leather corners.

The book has no lean and is in very good condition for almost 150 years old. The end papers are heavy marbled paper to match the boards and the page edges are sprayed gold with some sheen under the light.
Internally clean and bright with only a light age tone. No marks or inscriptions bar an attractive ink inscription to the second endpaper dated 1889. Light spotting to endpapers.
The binding is tight and all hinges are secure.

An interesting and attractive vintage poetry book which would make a nice display item on a vintage bookshelf.
