ESP Custom Lab Ultimate Series, the ultimate part developed for ESP Exhibition Limited.
-Define- is a bridge with a new design while following the traditional tunematic style. The strings are shifted from the center of the saddle, and the strings and octave screws are offset. This cuts the part of the bridge rear that interferes with the strings, concentrating the string tension on the saddle and eliminating chattering. In addition, the screw placed on the body end side is easy to access, and the use of a cap screw using a hex wrench enables stress-free octave adjustment.
The base plate made of solid brass with high precision by CNC machining has earl on the top surface and cut on the edge to provide a moderate holding feeling without catching. The brass version features long sustain and thick low end, and the surface treatment is plated.
The stud part is a combination of wood screw style stud bolts and stud nuts with a cylindrical extension at the top with grooves for flat head screwdrivers, and both direct sound and easy adjustment of string height are achieved. The clearance between the body and stud nuts is tight to prevent excessive play and tilt.
It is possible to replace wood screw style tunematics without machining, but it is recommended to replace the stud bolts (wood screws) with the supplied stainless steel. In the case of stud anchor style tunematics, the stud and anchor can be replaced without processing by using the original stud and anchor.
The chord grooves are shallow for positioning purposes, but it is recommended that you modify them according to your strings.
*Since the stud clearance is designed tighter than usual, it may be necessary to re-open the stud hole.
