Vintage handmade quilt, Fans design, 1940's.    This wonderful and traditional pattern quilt is hand pieced and hand stitched around the edges. It is stitched front to back at 16 places rather than quilted.  Beautifully planned fabric placement within each square is very pleasing to the eye.  Fantastic embroidery accents each square.  This is a summer weight quilt with very thin batting.  Over all this is in good condition, though there are four squares with small holes.  See detail photos.  The back doesn't have any holes, but there is some fading at the fold lines.  75" x 68"
