WW2 Period Brass Horn University of Western Australia Heraldic Badge, 

A vintage straight brass hunting/musical horn, 

formed of two tones of brass of possibly brass copper, 

badged at the bell with the heraldry / Coat of Arms, 

for the University of Western Australia, 

featuring the 2 books and maali black swan, 

bears the text 'Australian University' (not western) 

current motto "Seek Wisdom" and the older 'Stern Regime'. 

We haven't been able to place it precisely, 

 but similar badged bugle reportedly from WW2, 

so we believe this puts it's production likely between 1913 and 1950. 

Measures approximately 45 cm's in length, 

and 9.6 cm's diameter at the mouth.

Piece is in very good condition, still plays remarkably well, 

couple of light dents in the neck, and general age related tarnish, 

all as shown in the pictures.
