     Covering underground & alternative comix publications from 1962 to the present, this information-packed and heavily-illustrated book is an amazing accomplishment.
     Long-awaited and sorely-needed, the contents of this large, well-designed book exceed expectations. It was worth the wait!!
     The 9,644 entries of comics, magazines, and books in the 204 pages in the Identification/Price Guide Section are filled with information on each item's title, issue number, printing-number, date, cover price, publisher, artists, and distinguishing aspects. Displayed throughout the price guide section are over 800 b&w images of underground comix covers.
     The 36-page section on grading comics is an excellent, coherent, detailed presentation of the subject. The 11 full-color, glossy, Artist Portrait Pages are beautiful! In addition, there are many articles, photos, memoirs and tributes about the history and personalities of the underground comix scene.
