"The 'coal miner's lung' is a superb example for teaching pathology --- the inhaled coal/carbon particles (black bits) have been eaten (phagocytosed) by macrophages which can be seen free in airways and trapped in the tissues, with collapse and local fibrosis. Well stained by H and E.
The thyroid section of an iodine-deficient goitre is rather thick, but shows the islands of colloid and follicles of hyperplasia. Well stained.
The Plant histology is oh so beautifully stained, some in trichrome, and really show lovely images of plant histology."
