Simon and Schuster published this stated 6th printing of the first edition of HOW TO STOP WORRYING AND START LIVING by Dale Carnegie in 1948. The binding measures 5.75" x 8.5" and survives with minimal shelfwear. The text consumes 306 pages including an Index but unfortunately a previous owner sporadically marked it in pencil. The unclipped dustjacket has an attractive full front panel but has wear and a small loss at the back panel. It looks great, preserved in its Brodart protection, but in the interest of full disclosure our gallery displays both the underside and the exterior of the jacket without benefit of this embellishment.
The lot includes an Autopoint mechanical pencil that Dale Carnegie awarded as First Prize in Speech. This brand of pencil differs from the Durolite which was typically given out.
