This listing is for BABEL #1, by DAVID B. from Drawn and Quarterly in 2004. This oversized comic is loaded with incredibly beautiful stylized art that fit under the categories described on the back cover: "Dreams, Mythologies, Memories, Stories"

CONDITION NOTES: VF/NM. Nice copy. Flat and clean. This a comic format, but it's printed with a dust jacket style wraparound cover. Everything is in very nice shape. Some minor soft corners. (Grading is based on a careful examination of the flaws.)

ABOUT ME:

I have been selling on eBay since 1998 (yeah, I had an AOL address).

I have been selling collectibles for nearly 40 years (yeah, I'm old).

I pride myself on fast shipping and good communication.

Each item is guaranteed to be accurately described and I offer a full refund of the purchase price if anything doesn't match the description.

The feedback scores are the original internet points and I want to maintain a good record and I love return customers so I will do everything within reason to make the bidders happy.

SHIPPING COSTS AND COMMENTARY:

I have a hard time figuring out what to charge for shipping. I buy shipping gear (envelopes and cardboard mailers to protect things), and I pack carefully so that that item I send is the one you will receive, and if the shipper still manages to f*** it up, I'll refund it anyway, because that's how securely I'll pack it. I also know that if I do "free shipping," it just means I'll just have to build the costs into the price anyway. I've settled on most items being $5 for basic shipping, which usually costs me $5-6 plus materials. I do offer expedited shipping, so I pay $8 plus materials or so and you pay $7. What do you think? eBay has also removed Media Mail as an option for the thing I sell most often, comics without ads, which should qualify, but it means that I'd have to take every item to the Post Office and stand in line to get Media price, so I just pay for USPS ground and you get it quicker and it costs you the same, since I'd have to charge for the time of standing in line. :(
