Old NAPOLEON BONAPARTE French Medal, Rampant Lion & Empereur Napoleon

OLD FRENCH MEDAL

Interesting and unusual old embossed, double sided French commemorative medal measuring about 1" in size. Featuring EMPEREUR NAPOLEON in laurel wreath headdress on one side, and a rampant Lion on the reverse, medal is complete with a molded eyelet loop for ribbon suspension. Assuming this is a souvenir medal dating to around 1900. Condition is good with age related rubbing and wear to the high bronze finish with a few minute touches of verdigris from age. Acquired recently from the estate of an avid Napoleon collector, it is a handsome piece. Wonderful addition to any display!
