This is an original press photo. Shortly before the September 3, 1967 presidential elections in South Vietnam, the U.S. embassy was informed by intelligence sources that Tran Van Huong was "even money" with a little less than 10 percent of the votes cast, which may say something for the quality of American intelligence sources. In fairness, however, Huong did win in Saigon itself with roughly one third of the ballots there, although his margin over Thieu was slight.Photo measures 8.25 x 10.25inches. Photo is dated 11-07-1967.
