These measure about 12" long. The flat piece behind the horse is about 8" and 3 1/2" wide. I did not get any history on these. The horse chest plate and side cross look English to me. I am guessing that the horse piece is added to the square piece of wood to make the piece as it is seen but I am not sure. It is what it is and a pretty decorative piece.
