Indications

For External Use: Do not put this product into the rectum using fingers or any mechanical device.For Intra-Rectal Use: Attach applicator to tube, lubricate well, then gently insert applicator into the rectum.Keep out of reach of children, if swallowed, seek medical help or contact a Poison Control Center immediately.

Adults: Apply to the affected area up to 3 times daily. Children under 12 years of age: consult a doctor.When practical, clean affected area with mild soap and warm water and rinse thoroughly. Gently dry with tissue or soft cloth before use. To use dispensing cap, attach it to tube, lubricate well, then gently insert part way into anus and squeeze tube to deliver medication. Thoroughly cleanse dispensing cap after use with mild soap and warm water and rinse thoroughly.

Relieves all symptoms — best topical product I’ve tried

I have multiple internal and external hemorrhoids as well as chronic anal fissures. I’ve tried everything out there. Preparation H probably came the closest to providing some level of relief, but I was still in pain and very itchy, so I decided to look for something else to try.

This is the best for both pain relief and itching. I will say though that for maximum itch relief, definitely get some witch hazel wipes to use after each BM as well. This product stings a bit on application, which is the lidocaine working. The stinging soon turns into s pleasant warm tingly feeling that makes both pain and itching subside.

Another word of advice though: if you have internal hemorrhoids, use a suppository to get at those. I have tried multiple applicators including the one that came with this product; and it’s just way too painful to try to get past the swollen tissue. Ditch the applicator and just purchase any suppository that is cocoa-butter based and contains some medication like phenylephrine. They are far more comfortable to use; I stick with this product on the outside plus a suppository.
