Matching pair of coffee / tea cups from Satsuma Kiln Japan c 1910 - 30. Late Meiji early Taisho.

Bijan in the garden and village Minka landscape. Very elaborate decorative details over heavy ceramic and royal blue enamel.

Mark verso “Hakuzan” White. Mountain with Shimazu family crest. Known for elaborate colors and dramatic scenes.

Very good to excellent condition, no chips cracks or repairs, some wear of over gilt on saucers.
