The London Stock Exchange Collection was born out of an up cycling venture. A little recent history follows:
The Bullionboy left University with a Silversmithing Degree ‘Design for Industry’! Four collections were considered. All focussed on the ‘City of London’ workforce! The Stock Exchange Collection was one of these collections!
The Old Victorian stock exchange was demolished in the late 1960s and the interior marble from the walls was reserved to produce cigarette boxes for all stock exchange members. I believe the cost per box was £25. A large sum back then!
I had the idea to up-cycle some of these boxes and produce this rather unique Collection! Please note the photos of the tiles and cabochons I had produced from the marble!
So how would you like to own and wear a slice of London’s Financial History?
