Slinky wound strings are made with a smooth nickel-plated steel wire wrapped around a steel hex core.  They have a warm, full-bodied tone which brings out more of the mid frequency range compared to other strings and deliver an easy-under-the-finger feel which won’t wear out frets.  The plain strings are made of specially tempered tin-plated high carbon steel producing a well-balanced tone for your guitar.
