CONDITION

Acceptable. Generally in a good reading condition, with signs of ageing and wear.

Inside:
Acceptable. Generally in a good reading condition. Pages have lightly tanned. Text and illustrations are clear and unannotated. No handwriting. Binding is relatively tight (but see below). Small folds on a few page corners.

Buyers please note:
- Foxing and soiling on endpapers, pastedowns and text block edges.
- Light foxing and a few small smudges and stains, occasionally throughout.
- Binding has split around pp.14-5, and has eased in a few places, with stitching exposed.  Nonetheless, pages remain firmly attached (see photographs).
- Front and rear hinges have cracked but binding remains relatively tight.

Covers:
Acceptable. Stable. Titles and illustrations are clear on front but have dulled and lightly rubbed on the spine. Corners and spine ends are bumped and rubbed. Rubbing and soiling around edges, commensurate with general handling and shelf-wear.

Buyers please note:
- Soiling and staining on front and rear (see photographs).
- Browning and soiling to the spine.
- Small chips and tears to the spine ends.
- Spine edges are cracked and frayed. Slight hardening towards the edges would suggest the spine covering has previously been glued.
- A few small creases in the cloth on the rear.
