Stichtite is a hydrated magnesium chromium carbonate mineral. It belongs to the class of carbonate minerals and is known for its vibrant colours, ranging from pink to purple. It was first discovered in Tasmania, Australia, in the early 1900s and was named after Robert Carl Sticht, an American mining engineer and amateur mineralogist. This material is from Mpumalanga, South Africa and the cutting and polishing has been done by ourselves.
