Signs that your air suspension needs to be replaced include:
Usually, when the compressor is having a problem, a few symptoms will be produced that can alert the driver of a potential issue that should be serviced.The first sign you should look for is if your vehicle is riding lower than normal. Air systems work by using pressurized air from the air compressor. A worn compressor will not be able to inflate the air springs adequately, which will make your car riding lower than usual. Another sign you should look out for is if there are unusual noises when you use your air system. Loud clicking, whining or grinding may indicate that there's something wrong with your compressor's motor or fan. If you keep running your car with a malfunctioning compressor, you are damaging it beyond repair.
Note Before Installation:
1.To avoid the possibility of short circuits while working with electric components consult your owner's manual on how to disconnect your battery.
2.Consult your vehicle owner's manual, service manual, or car dealer for the correct jacking points on your vehicle and for additional care, safety and maintenance instructions. Under no circumstances should any work be completed underneath the vehicle if it is not adequately supported, as serious injuries and death can occur.
Removal Guideline:
1.Remove the air line from the compressor.(picture 11)
2.Remove the air line fitting from the air hose by sliding the threaded portion up the line and spreading the collet open. Slide the air fitting off the air line.(picture 12)
3.Remove the three(3)torx screws that secure the mounting bracket to the compressor.(picture 13,14)
Installation Guideline:
1.Install the air compressor assembly into the vehicle using the factory mounting hardware.(picture 15)
2.Remove plug and insert intake hose.(picture 16,17)
3.Reattach the red(upper)and blue(lower)air lines.(picture 18)
4.Reconnect all three(3)electrical plugs and clip the power plug into the bracket.(picture 19,20,21)
5.Replace the protective shroud over the compressor. Installation complete.
