THE COLLECTOR’S DREAM BAD:

Once again a treasure that I was able to steal from my miner: You simply can't find such huge pieces these days because all the larger opals are immediately cut into gemstones because you can get significantly higher prices here. I just can't bring myself to cut these 2 incredible boulder opals. These giant opals are absolutely natural except for the colored veins, which were hand-cut and highly polished! Several very large areas are covered with brilliant, mainly turquoise-blue-orange-green thick opal veins that run over the beautifully curved boulder. The larger one even has the same fantastic play of colors on the back. As I said, you could certainly cut some really gem-class jewelry opals from it that would certainly be worth twice as much, but I think it would be a shame to saw such huge collector's items.

OVER 9000 GRAMS/45000 CARAT (weighed on a digital passenger scale, so I have already deducted 400 grams due to measurement tolerances!!) . However, these values ​​are not 100% binding as a calibrated Caratwage no longer shows these heavy weights

HUGE solid Boulder Opal SPECIMEN Pair (over 45000 carats/9000 gramms apr. weight on a kitchen scale and not on a carat scale to it can vary, I have reduced the weight over 400 gramms for tolerance) with gem green- turquise-blue- huge orange color bars in every stone. The larger one is even double-sided and shows the same gem color. Those 2 huge Opal specimens are in rough condition, only the colorbars are high gloss polished by hand!! ..!!!! As usual for Boulder Opal specimen, there are inclusions and natural fractures due to the mining process
