The mechanical metronome image is not just in the design - the KDM-3 includes a new set of acoustic mechanical metronome sounds. Other sounds, such as claves, rimshots and voices, can be set according to the instrument you play and your preferences. All of these sounds are easy to hear and clear, and are not buried by louder instruments.

Includes 19 different beat patterns for all genres of music.
A total of 19 beat patterns are built in, ranging from 0-9 beats to doublets, triplets, triplets without middle, quadruplets and quadruplets without middle, plus additional variations such as son clave and rumba clave. The tempo can be set freely from 30 to 252 times/minute. It can be used for a wide range of music, from classical to pop, jazz and Latin.

Timer mode for basic practice.
Timer mode allows the metronome to run for a set amount of time and then automatically stop. Ideal for warming up and basic practice.

Sound out mode for tuning while listening to a reference tone.
The sound out mode enables tuning by ear by oscillating a reference tone from the main unit speaker or connected headphones. 12 reference tones from C4 (261.63 Hz) to B4 (493.88 Hz) can be oscillated. A4 calibration can also be set over a wide range of 410-480 Hz.

Long-life design for long hours of practice.
The KDM-3 can be used for approximately 120 hours when used at a tempo of 120 times/minute and at maximum volume. There is no need to worry about remaining battery power during daily practice.
