Description
OLD BEADED MITTENS
Wonderful pair of hand made suede leather glass beaded children's mittens measuring about 8" in length - 4-1/2" across the gauntlet opening and 2-1/2" across the curved end. Featuring lovely hand beaded floral accents in shades of pink and blue, you can faintly see the pattern drawn on the leather underneath the beaded design - mitten cuffs are fringed, complete with a felted trade fabric lining.
Condition is lovely with no bead looseness - a hint of rubbing and wear to the palms and edges with typical imperfections to the sueded leather. Think these are beautiful - purchased in Wisconsin and probably made for the trade dating 1940s-1960s. I am uncertain which tribe these were attributed to when we originally purchased it - lovely addition to any collection or display!
