Up for sale is a variety of very useful safety chains in real sterling silver. These are NOT plated or silver filled they are solid sterling silver & will not tarnish. They all have been manufactured in the UK & also guaranteed that 100% recycled silver has been used in this process, greatly reducing their carbon footprint. NOTE. They will oxidize in normal air conditions, as all silver does, so when not in use we recommend you keep them, or the complete item in a sealed bag. Presently there are FOUR different safety chains available, use drop down list to choose-- All weights & lengths are taken from an average of 10 pieces. ~~~~~--------------------------------------------~~~~~ (1) Light weight, 65mm long, 1.50mm wide & weighs .18 grams. The end rings are 2.7mm in diameter & the thickness .60mm. suitable for bracelets, charm bracelets, bangles & silver "bracelet watches", etc (NOTE, you may need larger end rings to fit some silver plated/chrome watch bracelets)
(2) Medium weight, 64mm long, 2.25mm wide & weighs .50 grams. The end rings are 3.80mm in diameter & .7mm thick, again suitable for all the same items as reference 1. NOTE. The rings at each end are not soldered closed, to make them easy to attach to your item. You can leave them on-soldered -- which would be the normal practice in the majority of jewellery workshops as this allows a ring to open if the chain is caught on an object, leaving the chain intact to be easily attached again. (3) 85mm long, 1.50mm wide, weighs .39grams & is fitted with a hook for attaching to broaches & pin for attaching to material e.g., jacket, coat, top etc.
(4) 70mm long, 1.00mm wide & weighs .39grams, this one has a bolt ring fitted to the centre which means it can be opened, this is suitable for a necklace, a bracelet where a normal safety chain is to short to fit over a larger hand etc. NOTE The end rings on this one are soldered closed. If you have no means of opening these rings please leave a note WITH PAYMENT that you need the rings opened. ALL SAFETY CHAINS
These are purchased directly from the manufacture in large quantities & come straight off the automatic machines so you will be the first to handle them & may need to make slight adjustments to the pin or catch.
