TOPSLEEVE 15/22mm sheep wool pipe insulation is an environmentally friendly,
fire retardant, effective form of pipe insulation to help improve heating
system efficiency by reducing heat loss from bare pipes. 7.2m - covers approx
3m of pipe TOPSLEEVE range of pipe insulation covers different pipe sizes with
a simple application. For both new and existing installations, as well as
being able to fit around complex joints, corners, and compact pipework,
TOPSLEEVE effortlessly insulates pipes by creating a thermal barrier. In
addition to the insulation benefits from using TOPSLEEVE, our range also
offers acoustic insulation, stopping noisy pipes between cavities which expand
& contract with temperature. Wool is a natural flame retardant does not ignite
or support combustion. Wool insulates naturally against heat and cold, because
it absorbs moisture vapour, wool in cold weather even a little moisture on
pipes becomes cold quickly reducing temperature, by absorbing the moisture a
dry layer of air left on the pipe helps to hold in the heat, in addition the
crimp in wool fibres makes them stand apart from each other, this lining of
air trapped inside the fabric acts as a insulator, still air is one of the
best insulators found in nature. Wool naturally absorbs moisture from the air,
the tendency to collect static electricity is reduced. Wool is a superior
acoustic insulator against noise; it absorbs sound and reduces noise level
