Vintage lobster pin is made of gold-colored metal and covered on the front with textured reddish-orange enameling, accented with a touch of black. Made in Korea. Measures 1-1/4" long. OK condition - lobster knuckles show some wear(see photos); safety catch in perfect working order. The Korean textured enameling looks very crustacean. I'm not sure if that was intentional or if it just took on that patina after sitting around for many years.

Part of our lobster collection, which we started after we returned from visiting relatives in Nova Scotia. The lobster rolls we had in Maine likely helped encourage our new obsession. Did you know that even McDonalds had lobster rolls up there? Our collection kept expanding to eventually about 30 or 40 items which we kept prominently displayed, if ever more crowded. Eventually the collection itself was crowded out by other mostly art items we collected. With a few exceptions, the entire lobster collection was stashed away––until now when we've decided everything must go (before we do) including this vintage metal RED LOBSTER PIN
