An interesting and original 18 page printing of an Act of Parliament dated March 12, 1810 entitled:

"An Act for repairing the Road from Catterick Bridge in the County of York, through the Towns of Yarm, Stockton and Sedgefield, to the City of Durham in the County of Durham and for repealing an Act passed in the Twenty-eighth Year of His present Majesty for repairing said road"

The Act sets out in detail how the work is to be executed and names all of the adjacent property owners of sufficient substance to qualify as Trustees - see scan. The work includes establishment of toll booths and tolls are set based upon the animals passing by and the loads they carry - see scan
