1981 LEMASTER Hand Carved Painted Miniature Wood CANADIAN GOOSE DECOY

VINTAGE CARVED WOOD CANADIAN GOOSE DECOY

Wonderful vintage hand carved wood, painted small Canadian Goose decoy measuring about 6-1/4" tall and 6" wide. Featuring an elegant form, goose stands on webbed feet, mounted to a carved wood plinth with fine applied gravel and small coiled green plant to mimic a natural setting. Detail is amazing - wing feathers cross over as shown, neck is gracefully curved and decoy has tiny glass eyes. Marked LeMaster 81, signature has the correct stylized flying duck logo coiled off the last letter of the name.

Condition is excellent with minor soiling within the webbed feet (dust) and a hint of display wear - very sturdy and nicely mounted to the wood base with no looseness or damage. A quality carved decoy by Richard LeMaster, best know for his numerous books on the subject. Just a wonderful vintage decoy - small enough to tuck anywhere - incredibly detailed and realistic - a nice addition to any folk art decoy collection or display!
