This auction is for a number of these very collectible Northern Bank £10, Ten Pound Banknotes. A variety of grades are available so there should be something to suit your collection & budget.
The scans are an example of a number of the notes where I reckon it is best to see the condition, especially if they contain graffiti, tares or marks which will show up in the scan. The others will not have any visible marks that would show in the scans.

.(SOLD B4510110) . his note has been taken from circulation which has left the surface of the paper with extensive wrinkles and folds. there is also a few heavier creases but are not excessive where they are breaking the print. the paper has some softness but not floppy. There is a very fine ATM (about 1mm thick) black ink spot along the top edge & also a tiny blue dot to the bottom edge. It is free from graffiti & pin holes. Although the edges are showing slight wear they are free from tears or nicks & the corners are very good.
(Sold B3550716). The note surface contains general wrinkles and some folds from being in circulation for some time. There are also a few light creases. The paper is still firm, clean & free from graffiti or pin holes. All the edges are very sharp and free from nicks or tears.

(Sold B4038070). This note has been taken from circulation which has left parts of the surface with fine wrinkles. Both ends contain counting
folds/flicks, also some very light vertical folds in the centre. it is free from creases, pin holes, nicks or tears & graffiti. The paper is very firm with sharp corners and edges.
B2499902. The greater part of the surface contains wrinkles and fine folds from being in circulation. It also contains a number of folds caused by bank counting and general handling. the centre contains a vertical crease which has lightly broken the print. There is some softness to the paper which is still clean, free from graffiti, pin holes, nicks or tears. all the edges and corners are sharp.

1988 VERY FINE
(SOLD B2736728). Has been in circulation for some time which has resulted in the paper containing wrinkles and folds. There are also a number of creases, the heaviest is vertical in the centre which has left a slight mark to the print. The paper is firm & clean, without any holes or graffiti. All the corners and edges are sharp & without any tears or nicks.
B4866640. This note has been taken from circulation so most of the surface contains wrinkles and folds. It also has a number of creases, most of them are not marking the print, two are fairly heavy & run at an angle across the bottom left & top right corners, also one is running horizontally through the centre, these have left a fine line in the paper but do not take away the from the notes appearance. . The paper is firm & clean, free from any holes or graffiti. All the corners and edges are very good and free from any nicks or tears.
(Sold B7249990) The greater part of the paper has very fine wrinkles from being in circulation for a time. There are 'V' shaped counting folds to either end and one running horizontally part through the center. It is free from any creases. The paper is firm and free from holes or graffiti. All the corners and edges are sharp and is free from nicks or tares.
(Sold B7262063). This note has not been in circulation very long so the paper is fairly smooth but I am grading VF as I reckon it has been flattened. There are some folds to either end and one nearly vertical through the portrait of Dunlop. There is a crease to the bottom left corner. The paper is firm and clean without any graffiti or holes. All the corners are sharp also the edges which are free from any tears or nicks.
(Sold B8799954). This note has not been in circulation much but contains quite a few heavy counting folds. To both ends there is a number of them running at an angle across the corners & also three vertical. There are no heavy creases. The paper is firm and clean without any graffiti or holes. All the corners are sharp including the edges which are free from any nicks or tares.

All 1989 EXTREMELY FINE notes are sold at present
(Sold B11556184). The paper contains a few wrinkles & some light folds. There is a fold across
the top right corner, one vertical near the centre & the bottom corners have a heavier fold
across each of them. The paper is very firm, clean and free from any holes of graffiti. All the
corners and edges are sharp and free from nicks or tares.
1989 VERY FINE
(Sold B11806117). This note has been in circulation for a short time. The surface contains wrinkles and fine folds, also
some longer folds. There are no creases, pin holes, graffiti, nicks or tares. The corners and edges are very good &
the paper is still firm.
B09183865. This note has not been in circulation for any length of time. It mainly contains counting folds to either end.
To the right side there is a 'V' shaped light fold & to the left side a double 'V' which is heavier, it is free from any creases. The paper is firm & clean, free from graffiti or holes. All the corners and edges are sharp & free from tears or nicks. This note is definitely in the + side of this grade.
All 1989 FINE are sold at present
(Sold B10188384. B10359507). These notes have some softness from being in circulation & also contain folds and a few creases. there are no graffiti, pinholes, tears or nicks & the corners and edges are sharp. The one ending with 9507 has a light brown stain in the centre of the back.

ALL 1990 EXTREMELY FINE notes are sold at present
(SOLD B15821137).This note was found recently in a house clearance. It has not been
in circulation but because of unskilled handlers, this has resulted in the
note containing some counting flicks/folds to the right side. it also
contains some heavy wrinkles to the bottom left & a line vertically in the
centre where it has been bent over. the paper is firm, with all the corners &
edges as issued.

B13173211. The paper has a slight soft feel from having extensive wrinkles and folds from being in circulation for some time. There are also a number of creases. The edges and corners are good & it is free from holes, graffiti, tears or nicks.
B13386956. The note has been in circulation for some time so has a softness due to extensive wrinkles and folds. There are also a number of creases, some slightly effecting the print. It is free from graffiti, holes, nicks or tears. The edges and corners are beginning to show the slightest of wear.
B14202522. This note has been in circulation for a short time so some of the surface contains wrinkles and fine creases. Near both ends there is a 'V' shape counting fold, also a number running vertically in the note. To the bottom right corner there is a very light crease. The paper is still very firm, clean & without any holes or graffiti. All the corners and edges are sharp and free from any nicks or tears.

B20555225. Has been in circulation for a short time. Most of the surface has fine wrinkles & to the bottom left some heavier folds. To the right centre it has a couple of counting flicks/folds and vertically in the centre a light fold. It is free from any heavy creases, the paper is still firm with sharp corners and edges.

1990 FINE
(Sold 240803) The paper has a slightly soft feel from having been
in circulation for some time. The complete surface contains fine wrinkles, folds and a larger number of creases than
the better grades. There is no graffiti but most contain light smudges & the print will not be as sharp. The edges and
corners are showing slight wear but none have any tares or nicks.
(SOLD B17993851) This note was in circulation for a time which has resulted in the note having surface wrinkles & folds. It also contains a few creases, one in the centre, running vertically, is heavy & has broken the print. The paper has a slight softness but is free from graffiti or pin holes. All the edges are good, with the left edge containing a tiny nick. The cornere are good & are showing the slightest of wear.

B26399054. This note has been in circulation for a very short time. Both right & left sides have some flick/fold marks & along the top edge some wrinkles. The paper is very firm, free from pinholes, graffiti & nicks. There is a tiny 2mm long tear on the top edge & on the back there are some small light brown marks/dots. they are the same colour as the print so may be from this. All the corners and edges are sharp.
B26414479. This note was in circulation for a short time, this has resulted in most of the surface having picked up wrinkles. There is a vertical fold in the centre also a horizontal one in the centre & a couple running at an angle to the bottom left. The right side contains a few counting flicks/folds. It is free from creasing, graffiti, holes & tears. The paper is very firm with corners & edges as issued.
B22397847. This note contains some counting flick/fold marks to the left, one is fairly heavy. To the centre & right it has some very light wrinkles. The paper is very firm, free from graffiti, holes tears or nicks. All the edges & corners are sharp.
B28288957. The note has been taken from circulation, this has resulted in the surface picking up wrinkles & light folds. It contains three vertical & one horizontal fold, also a counting flick/fold to the left. The paper is very firm, free from graffiti, holes & tears. The corners & edges are still on the sharp side.
B30427237. The note was in circulation for a time which has left the surface containing multiple wrinkles & folds. It is free from heavy creases. The paper is firm, clean, free from graffiti or pin holes. All the corners & edges are sharp & completely free from nicks or tears.

(SOLD B23905224) Has been taken from circulation so the complete surface has wrinkles and fine folds. There only seems to be one heavy crease to the top left corner. The paper is still fairly firm without any graffiti or holes. All corners and edges are good & are without any tares or nicks.
(SOLD B22230652) Has wrinkles & folds from being in circulation, there is one heavy crease to the bottom right corner causing a tiny nick. The paper is relatively firm, free from graffiti and holes. All the corners and edges are good.

The paper is still very firm & clean without any holes or graffiti. All the edges & corners are sharp and free from any nicks or tares. (Most non critical graders would probably give it as EF).
(SOLD B35121235) This note has been in circulation for a period of time so it contains wrinkles and light folds over the complete surface. There are a few vertical fairly strong folds but none are heavy enough to be classed as creases. The paper is clean & firm, free from any graffiti or holes. All the corners and edges are very sharp & completely free from nicks or tears.
(SOLD B36691573) This note has not been in circulation for an extensive time. This has resulted in the paper only picking up some waviness and a few very light wrinkles. It has some vertical bends & a fold to the bottom right corner. There are no creases, the paper is firm, graffiti free & no holes.
