Redstone matchboxes are inspired by the miniaturist magic of matchbox label art. All over the world, unknown artists have used this throwaway medium to make jokes and set puzzles, to celebrate the natural world, to charm, instruct and amuse.

Every minute, day and night, in a thousand places, East, West, North, South, at the lighting of a million cigarettes, oil lamps and gas stoves, the subliminal glimpse of a matchbox label accompanies the elemental thrill of sparking fire!

This was the first edition of Redstone Matchbox Postcards. Highly collectible and make a great gift.

The back can be used as a postcard and denotes in the corner where the original matchbox art came from.

The postcards measure 6 inches X 4 inches and are made on smooth card stock.

The box has an insert the cards sit on (shown) in black and white graphics.

The slide box also is made to look like a large matchbox.

Pre-owned but unused, a complete set in very good Vintage condition.
