Fender Made in Japan HAMA OKAMOTO Precision Bass Olympic White
Description
One of the most influential bassist performers in the contemporary Japanese music scene. Hama Okamoto, born in 1991, formed Zutt's Letters in 2008. As a member of OKAMOTO'S since 2009, he has energetically produced albums and toured overseas. We have been very successful at many festivals and live events.
His playing style is said to have been taught by him, but his exquisite sense of time and expressive phrasing, in which he sings in a talkative manner, make him a talented performer who is far from Japanese. This ability soon became widely recognized, and in 2013 we signed an endorsement contract with Fender. After that, the signature model, which was released at the end of 2015, has now been reintroduced with new specifications made in Japan.
Recent fenders made in Japan, such as the MIJ Traditional Series and MIJ Hybrid Series, have undergone a major update in the manufacturing process under the technical guidance and supervision of Chris Fleming, a master builder who was a senior master builder in the custom shop.
The device is inspired by HAMA OKAMOTO's favorite Fender Precision Bass from 1968. With the theme of "an improbable, easy to play precision bass," the jazz-bass style slim neck is adopted. In addition to the vintage-style round paddle pegs and bridge covers, the design features a well-colored basewood body and a pickguard with a so-called "red bekko" pattern that stands out for its originality.
