Dry core drill bits look and operate very similarly to wet coring bits but they do not require any lubricant/water. Dry coring still provides accurate hole drilling and remove the core in the same capability a wet core bit does.

In case of situations that water is simply not accessible or slurry from wet drilling is not acceptable in the work environment, using dry diamond core drill bit is the ideal option. Especially, when there is possible contact with electrical wires at job site, using a dry core bit is the best way.

A dust muzzle can be used in conjunction with a vacuum to collect slurry from wet drilling or dust from dry drilling.
