David Brooks (1950 - 2014)

  David went to various learning institutions to update his knowledge and God given talents. His greatest aspiration was to become a Mi'kmaq artist. David's artistic accomplishments include several murals at the Micmac Native Friendship Centre, Maritime Native Artisan's Co-operative, The Mastadon Ridge Interpretive Centre, Hants East Rural High School and Shubenacadie Elementary; paintings for Statistics Canada poster, and Public Works Canada poster. David's paintings are in the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, Eskasoni School Board, Grace Maternity Hospital, National Indian Art Collection, Indian and Northern Affairs Canada, and Native Council of Nova Scotia.
