For anyone interested in the traditional dress of the Cusco region of Peru, this vintage, handmade doll outfit is a great find. It includes a black skirt, a fuchsia jacket, a green shawl, and a red and black hat, all highly and colorfully decorated. A previous owner pinned some of the different garments together and even basted a few stitches here and there; I left it as I found it, so that you can either leave it as is or take the pieces apart. It looks to me like all four pieces were made from fabric woven out of hand spun yarn, possibly alpaca. Much of the trim (not the rick rack) also looks like it could well have been hand woven.
