The book is a summary of the research of actual material that is omitted in the textbooks. This work is a contribution to debunking the myth that the history of Eastern Europe is less interesting than the history of Ancient Rome or the Viking Age. The essays clearly show the relationship between the ethno-state processes that took place during the Middle Ages throughout the territory of Eurasia. In particular, the idea of Slavic unity and the need to preserve and develop Slavic culture is defended.

The book is illustrated with miniatures from the Radzyvill Chronicle.
