** Margaret Case, longtime editor of Vogue Magazine, jumped to her death
from her Park Avenue apartment August 26, 1971.

 

Horst P. Horst (born Horst Paul Albert Bohrmann) was a legendary German-American 
fashion and portrait photographer. 

Widely published in French, British and American Vogue.

 His Hollywood celebrity portraits include Marlene Dietrich and Bette Davis. 

One of the great iconic photos of the 20th-Century is "The Mainbocher Corset",
 captured by Horst in 1939.

 

Born: 1906, WeiBenfels-au-der-Saale, German Empire; 
died: 1999, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
