Description

Original concept art for the TV film series entitled The 21 Days of America - watercolor on illustration board of the traditional Easter parade along 5th Avenue in New York, titled on the back Fifth Avenue Easter, dated 2/21/79, and signed by the artist M. Thibodeau, about 15 by 20 inches, in near excellent condition (the corners of the illustration board are bumped).   On the back it is noted in pencil that the narrator was Carol Channing.  Also on the front are several pencil notations, one of which says "add ladies in foreground."

The 21 Days of America was a series of 21 one minute television spots on American history that aired on local TV stations from June 14, Flag Day, through July 4, a period set aside by Congress to honor America.  The first airing took place in 1979 and they were aired often in 1980s with commercial sponsors.  The artwork was created in 1979.  Celebrities from Kirk Douglas to Buzz Aldrin narrate each of the spots.  I acquired six original pieces of concept art for this series.  All of them are spectacular pieces of art that can be framed and enjoyed.
