This auction is for these scarce paper First Trust Bank  £50, "Fifty" Pound banknotes.

1998 VERY FINE

(SOLD AA228633) This note has been in circulation for a very short time, the paper contains a few wrinkles & fine folds. There is an extremely light fold to the left side & three of the corners have folds across them. The paper is very firm, free from graffiti & holes. all the corners and edges are very sharp & although the top & bottom edges show some wrinkles, there are no tears of nicks.

AA228634.  This note is identical to the one above with the only difference being, the wrinkles are spread longer, along the bottom edge.

(SOLD AA325166). AA487828. Both notes have a number of handling & counting marks sporadically over the surface. they also have a heavy fold to the bottom left corner. The paper is very firm, free from graffiti, nicks & tears. All edges and corners are sharp

(SOLD AA494355). This note has been in circulation for a time. the paper contains some wrinkles & folds/counting flicks. There is also one crease to the top right corner. The paper is still firm, clean, free from graffiti, tears or nicks. All the corners & edges are still sharp.

These One Hundreds are interesting notes for collecting as they contain an illustration

 of the 1588 defeat of the Spanish Armada, and as with all First Trust notes they are scarcer than other Northern Ireland notes as they have a smaller circulation.
