For sale is an Edward III silver hammered halfgroat, struck at the London mint during the pre-treaty period, circa 1351–1361.

The obverse shows the facing crowned bust of Edward III within a tressure. The reverse shows the long cross with three pellets in each quarter and the CIVITAS LONDON mint legend.

The coin has a strong reverse for the type, with clear cross and pellets. The obverse is weaker in places, with normal hammered striking irregularity, surface marks and age-related wear visible.
