The use of other dovetail bars is possible if they allow M6 bolts.
On the front clamp are rotational markings which one can use to precisely set the rotation of the lens. This is particularly useful if you want to shoot the same target over multiple nights as it allows you to quickly find the correct rotation again. We recommend using a tool like Stellarium/N.I.N.A to determine the desired rotation beforehand. Note that there are no numbers for the rotation printed on the front clamp.
On the sides there are M4 threads for mounting additional equpiment (e.g. ZWO EAF, ZWO ASIAIR Adapter).
The finder shoe allows the use of a viewfinder or a guidescope. Below the finder shoe there is room for the worm drive. The focus can be precisely and securely set by using the worm drive. One complete revolution of the focus knobs turns the focus ring only about 3°.
The lens clamp system is modular and allows various different configurations. Two Accesories from the list (ZWO EAF Adapter, ZWO ASIAIR Adapter, Additional Accesory Rail) can be used simultaneously.
An instruction manual for setting up the lens clamp system is included.
The lens clamp system is 3D printed using PETG. This material is UV resistant and can therefore be used outdoors in direct sunlight without any problems. The glass transition temperature of PETG is 85°C (185°F). At this temperature the material starts to deform. We therefore recommend keeping the lens clamp system in an environment with a temperature below 60°C (140°F).
