Plique A Jour 800 Silver Butterfly Pin Gold Vermeil Finish Sweet Colors Vintage!

This beautiful butterfly pin is done in plique a jour, the glass has been applied to very finely open worked silver metal so that the enamel fills the chambers and light can pass through. Like stained glass. The metal is 800 (marked on pin) and I believe these were made in China but it is not marked as such. It's probably from the 1920s, so either already 100 years old or almost there. So beautiful! 1-3/4" wide and 1-1/2" tall, a bit larger for a pin like this than I'm used to seeing. Gorgeous!
