Product Overview

This 1.8m AU power cable is a simple replacement for the mains lead used on several generations of Sony PlayStation console. It connects directly from a standard Australian wall outlet to the figure-8 power socket on the console, with no power brick or converter required.

The lead uses a standard IEC C7 "figure 8" connector on the console end and an Australian 2-pin mains plug on the wall end. At 1.8 metres long, it gives you enough reach to route the cable neatly through a TV cabinet or entertainment unit.

A durable PVC outer jacket, moulded plugs, and strain-relief at each end help the cable stand up to regular bending, plugging, and unplugging. Ideal as a replacement for a lost or damaged original lead, or as a spare for a second room.

Compatible with:

PlayStation 1 (PS1) — original fat model. Plugs directly into the console.
PlayStation 2 (PS2) — original fat model. Plugs directly into the console.
PS2 Slim (SCPH-9000x series) — later slim models with internal power supply (e.g. SCPH-90001). Plugs directly into the console.
PS2 Slim (SCPH-7000x series) — earlier slim models with external AC adaptor. The cable plugs into the adaptor brick, not the console itself (adaptor not included).
PS3 Slim — plugs directly into the console.
PS3 Super Slim — plugs directly into the console.

Not compatible with: PSOne (slim — uses a dedicated AC adaptor), original fat PS3 (uses a larger kettle-style (IEC C13) power connector).
