The People's Bank of China issued Chinese Yuan banknotes including this 5 Wu Jiao banknote China (1972 issue). They are part of the Chinese Yuan withdrawn Renminbi banknotes series. The People's Bank of China started issuing these 0.5 Chinese Yuan banknotes in 1972. They were withdrawn from circulation in 1980.
