This lot contains ten 10-inch 78 RPM records, all in the jazz, swing and big band genres, and most of them within the range of bebop or "modern jazz." All ten are shown in the first picture, then in pairs, both sides, in the following order.

Pictures # 4 and 5:
Capitol # 257 - "Seems Like Old Times" and "I Fall in Love with You Ev'ry Day" by Bobby Sherwood and his Orchestra.
* Varsity # 294 - "My Gal Sal" and "Mean to Me" by Johnnie Guarnieri.
Pictures # 6 and 7:
* London # 444 - "To Be or Not to Bop" and "Poinciana" by the George Shearing Trio.

Mercury # 8022 -- "Swanee River Boogie" and "I Don't Want to See You Go" by Albert Ammons and his Rhythm Kings.
Pictures # 10 and 11:
Decca # 4370 - "Sleepy Town Train" and "I Wanna Go Back to West Virginia" by the Milt Herth Trio.
M-G-M # 10332 (promotional copy) - "How High the Moon" and "The Night Is Young and You're so Beautiful" by Ziggy Elman and his Orchestra.
I believe they were all released too late to meet the 1942 cut-off date for Brian Rust's "Hot Jazz Discography", but the following are listed in Charles Delaunay's "New Hot Discography" (cut-off date 1948), along with their recording dates:
"Skyscraper" and "Papilloma" by the Flip Phillips Fliptet (October 2, 1944).
"My Gal Sal" and "Mean to Me" by Johnnie Guarnieri (January 23 and October18, 1946 respectively).
"My Man" and "El Salon de Gutbucket" by Charley Shavers and his All American Five (August 22, 1944).
"Twilight Time" and "Fish Market" by Roy Eldridge and his Orchestra (October 13, 1944)
And as far as I know, the others might all have been recorded after 1948.
They visually range in condition from about VG+ or better all the way down to about G+ or VG. They are all still nice and shiny, but with varying amounts of surface scuffs and scratches and dull spots. The best looking ones are the five identified by an asterisk (*) in the list above. At the other end of the spectrum, there were forward jumps on three sides -- "El Salon de Gutbucket", "I Don't Want to See You Go" and "The Night Is Young and You're so Beautiful." And the other two (the Bobby Sherwood and Milt Herth Trio) just have generally more background noise and ticking and clicking than the five with the asterisks. Because of variations in tracking ability, filtering technology and needle weights, I can offer no guarantees as to how well they will play on your equipment.
