Product Description:

This offering is for a new-old-stock Suntour XC PRO micro-adjustable seatpost that was made in Japan. Some of it's more prominent design features and specs include the following...

  • Size: 26.8 mm (post/pillar diameter)

  • Total length: 300 mm (measured from the middle of the saddle clamp to the bottom of the pillar)

  • Usable length (max): 225 mm (measured from the middle of the saddle clamp to the limit line)

  • Off set: 20 mm maximum...given clamp seats over the pillar (defined as horizontal distance from the center of the post/pillar to the center of the saddle clamp bolt)

  • Weight: 290 grams (per our digital postal scale)

  • Other notes: The saddle clamp has a two-bolt micro-adjustable design whereby the loosening and tightening of the saddle clamp bolts will change the saddle angle (up to 22 degrees, according to Suntour specs) as well as saddle position.

This seatpost was Suntour's top-end model in the very early 90's for mountain bikes. It's an all aluminum alloy design with the exception of the saddle clamp bolts, which are made from hardened chromoly steel.

We only have the one size at this point in time and they all came to us in new and unused condition. They were bulk packed in thick plastic sleeves/bags, so expect some shopwear-type marks, but the condition is still nice overall. Listing Update...As we continue to sell through our stocks, I have begun updating the pictures to reflect the next unit that will sell. To this end, I see some small scratches/scuffs on the pillar of this seatpost, but the overall condition still shows fairly well. I can also confirm I have attempted to take close-up pictures of the most visible of these scuffs/scratches, but these blemishes do not always show up as well in the pictures relative to what I see in person (and just want to be honest here). Please also note that while we may have multiple quantities listed for sale, we will repeatedly update the pictures to reflect the next offering that will sell/ship.

Note to international customers regarding shipping...
We apologize to those that feel some of our international shipping charges are too high. We only charge actual shipping rates, but once an order exceeds a certain amount, we hesitate to use the least expensive US Postal Services First Class International service. We feel this way, because this service is not trackable or insurable...so more risk of loss. We prefer the US Postal Services Priority Mail International service for more expensive orders, because this service is trackable at USPS.com and insurable...so less risk of loss. Unfortunately, this service is more expensive, especially for smaller/lighter packages, relative to the First Class International service. We are sorry about these higher shipping costs, but hopefully our notes help to explain why this is the case.

Note to international customers regarding customs...
We also apologize to those that feel their country import taxes, duties and brokerage fees are excessive. As a small US business, we are required by customs' laws to declare each order as a retail sale. Additionally, the declared order value must be equal to total store purchases and/or winning auction bids (less any shipping costs, as these are not considered in the declared value).
