This unit uses the latest generation UHC-MOS FET, which is also used in the PMA-SX1.
Compared to conventional products, the rated current has been doubled from 30A to 60A, and the instantaneous supply current has been doubled from 120A to 240A.
This allows for even more relaxed playback.
Furthermore, cascode bootstrap connection keeps the voltage applied to the UHC-MOS constant and improves temperature stability.
It stably brings out the excellent acoustic characteristics of UHC-MOS.
Heat dissipation is improved by using a large extruded aluminum material for the heat sink.
By providing sufficient power supply capacity to the power supply circuit, large outputs of 120 W / 8 Ω and 240 W / 4 Ω are achieved.
Even speakers with low efficiency can be driven with ease.
"Clean and powerful power supply circuit"
The operation of an amplifier is to "enlarge and copy" the input signal into the current supplied by the power supply circuit.
If the power supply current is dirty, the signal will be copied onto the dirt.
Also, if a sufficient amount of current is not supplied from the power supply, copies may be cut off or distorted.
In other words, accurate amplification is not possible.
The power supply section of this machine has an output stage that requires large current and a voltage amplification stage that requires stability.
It is separated from the winding stage of the transformer.
The rectifying capacitor is a large-capacity, high-quality electrolytic capacitor that uses low-impedance electrode foil.
